Videos!

(Updated 4/27/05)

The PC Jukebox will soon support video files!  Supported formats include .wmv, .mpg, .mpeg, and .avi.

Now Playing

(Updated 4/27/05)

Videos can be viewed on either the Artists page (shown above) or on the Now Playing screen (shown to the left).  Notice how the display changes from it's normal square shape (for CD cover art) to a 4:3 aspect rectangle to eliminate distortion.

Listings

(Updated 4/27/05)

Videos can be selected just like any other song in the jukebox.  All videos titles will be marked with a small video camera, as shown to the left.

And notice how the logo at the top keeps changing colors...that's because it can be animated now!

Screensaver

(Updated 4/27/05)

The next version will include it's own internal screensaver to avoid touchscreen burn in.  The 3D logo moves around the screen and alternates with 12 CD cover screen, which can be set to scroll through the available CD covers automatically.

Home Page

(Updated 3/16/05)

When The PC Jukebox starts up now, you are presented with a 'Home' page that shows some statistics and popular items within the jukebox.

12 CD Cover View

(Updated 3/16/05)

Notice the sorting buttons two thirds down on the left hand side.  The CD Covers can now be sorted 3 different ways.  And when they are sorted by year, as they are here, the scrollbar will show you which decade you are looking at.

Genres/Decades

(Updated 3/16/05)

The genres screen has been redesigned to include the decades all of all of the songs in the Music Library.  The buttons have been made larger to be more touchscreen friendly too.

Also, no longer will selecting a genre filter everything...instead, you will be presented with a screen like...

Search Results

(Updated 3/16/05)

...this one.

This screen is actually the result of a search of titles for the word 'LOVE', but the genres screen looks much the same.

The small scrollbar has been replaced with the familiar touchscreen scrollbar and buttons.

Queue Screen

(Updated 3/16/05)

The Queue Screen has been updated to be much more graphical and touchscreen friendly.  And notice the remaining time is displayed and constantly updated in the lower right corner.

Also notice, on the left hand side, the number of the songs in the queue is always visible, regardless of which screen you're viewing.

History Screen

(Updated 3/16/05)

The History Screen has also had a makeover.  Again, the tiny scrollbars have been replaced and cover art is displayed for every song.

Options Main Screen

(Updated 3/16/05)

The Options Screen has been made much more graphical and touchscreen ready too.  Of course, this one is not quite finished yet!!

But pressing the General Options button will bring you to...

General Options

(Updated 3/16/05)

...this screen.

Note how all of the checkboxes have been made larger.  No more struggling when trying to touch that little target with your index finger!!

And many of the options have been grouped together in a more logical location for easier access.
